College of Engineering held on Tuesday 30, 2/1437H the semester meeting, which was attended by Dr. Mohammad Al Kahtani Dean of the College, Vice-Dean and Heads of the Departments. The meeting aimed to communicate with students, listen to the suggestions and complaint.
The meeting began by a speech delivered by Dr. Al Kahtani welcoming the students and faculty members. He pointed out to the importance of such meetings that springs from the student importance as a key factor in the educational and scientific process. He also stressed on the communication importance between the students and the college’s deanship and departments, besides the communication between the students and the faculty members. Therefore, the college has activated the e-learning portal to all the college’s courses to enhance the educational and learning environment. In addition, the college has founded forms to its members on the Blackboard Portal to be a virtual discussion environment that spreads positive ideas and the students’ activities. Dr. Al Kahtani requested everyone to activate their official email because it is not only a communication tool but also a key for all the e-services provided by the university.
After the dean’s speech, the open discussion began by the students’ queries and suggestions some of which is related to the schedules, course plans, summer training and the departments’’ academic plans.
During the meeting, most of the students’ queries were answered in order to develop many aspects of the college, which will lead to graduate engineers that are able to compete and innovate in the labor market.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al Kahtani thanked the organizing committee especially Dr. Furaih Enzi Head of the committee for the good preparation and organization
