All praise to Allah, peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Mohammed. It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to the College of Engineering at Prince Sattam bin Abdul-Aziz University at Al-Kharj. This young college which was established to contribute in pushing forward the development of our country, similar to the rest of the engineering colleges in our Saudi universities. Nowadays, the college of engineering became a monument of science and knowledge and replete with many of the specialized competencies in engineering and science branches. It also has many of the teaching and research laboratories, which form a strong base for faculty, researchers and specialists.
we are proud in the College of Engineering at Al-Kharj of our engineers graduated from different engineering branches; who are able to contribute effectively in building the nation by providing a distinctive engineering programs. Recently, the college has been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) from the American Council of Academic Accreditation. As well as the college's efforts to obtain local program accreditation for all its programs from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), that is a testament for the attention of the college and its team through internationally accredited engineering programs to ensure the quality of the educational process and program’s outcomes.
It is worth mentioning that the college has sought to activate the principle of partnership and international cooperation by sending groups of students to distinct universities overseas and enrolled them in intensive summer training programs in order to refine their theoretical knowledge and its practical applications and improve communication skills.
All that comes from the constant and not surprising support from the governors, may Allah preserve them, for higher education in particular, and follow up and guidance of the Rector Dr. Abdulrahman Alasimi as well as the endless support of Vice-rectors.
