Location : CG-05

Using advanced software students design mechanical components and assembly them.  The design includes geometrical part feature and material. Students, also, use simple finite element meshing to design for stress and strain.  Moreover, students employ the information they capture in manufacturing courses to design a computer aided manufacturing strategy for a mechanical part. The strategy includes sequence of manufacturing process, process parameters, tooling, fixation methods, referencing and collision detection. The strategy is then compiled into a G-code that students use to run a CNC machine to manufacture the mechanical part
