In line with the role of students in achieving the mission, vision, and goals of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, the Student Activities Unit at the College of Engineering, under the patronage of the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Raed bin Abdullah Al-Yousef, organized the Student Council elections for the academic year 1439/1440 AH. A total of 18 students from all academic departments of the college applied for membership in the Student Council.
The elections took place on Thursday, 9 Safar 1440 AH, under the supervision of the Student Activities Unit. A dedicated nomination form was prepared by the committee, and a vote counting committee was formed. The student, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saqr from the Department of Civil Engineering, was elected as the President of the Student Council with 68 votes. Meanwhile, the student, Fares bin Mohammed Al-Aboudi from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was elected as Vice President with 44 votes. The other seats on the council were filled by three students from the Department of Civil Engineering, three students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, and two students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
It is noteworthy that these elections witnessed an unprecedented level of participation from the college's students in selecting their representatives for the Student Council.
