The work of civil engineers includes many areas such as design, construction, and maintenance of various engineering structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, dams, water systems, water tanks, irrigation, and sanitary. Civil engineers have an important role in construction projects management and in controlling the various construction materials, cost studies, and finding appropriate solutions to the problems relevant to soil and foundations. Furthermore, civil engineers should propose and design the most suitable construction methods and participate actively in traffic and environmental studies. Highly-qualified faculty members in the civil engineering department cooperate with the administration to provide high-quality education in the field of civil engineering and to participate actively in community service.
