The students of the Electrical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj, achieved a remarkable accomplishment at the Gulf level by securing first place in the IET GCC Robotics Challenge 2024, organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Fifteen teams from various universities across the Gulf countries participated in the competition.

The winning project involved developing a smart prosthetic hand designed to help amputees regain the ability to grasp objects. It uses artificial intelligence to analyze images, identify the shape of the object, and automatically adjust the movement of the fingers. The project stood out for its technological innovation and practical application of electrical engineering and artificial intelligence concepts.

This achievement is a testament to the academic and research excellence of the students at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, showcasing their ability to innovate and create technological and scientific solutions that serve the community.
