In a distinguished academic achievement that reflects the excellence of the College of Engineering at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and its leadership in research under the guidance of the Dean, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Idrees, Dr. Ali Abdelaaty, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, has been selected as a member of the International Scientific Committee of the 15th International Conference on the Technology of Plasticity (ICTP 2026) — one of the world’s most prestigious conferences in advanced manufacturing, metal forming, and modeling, often referred to as the “Metal Forming Olympics” due to its distinguished standing in international academic and research circles.
This selection comes in recognition of Dr. Abdelaaty’s outstanding contributions in the fields of metal forming, computational modeling, and sustainable manufacturing, and acknowledges his prominent role in enhancing the university’s global presence and representation in international scientific forums.
